Traveling To Brazil? Here Are The Highlights You Should Never Miss

Brazil is bigger than Australia, so you can easily get inundated with the long list of things to do and see there as a tourist. The party tradition, food, beaches, and beautiful scenery might make it difficult for you to choose where to go. However, by leveraging the experience of others, you can get a full exotic experience. Here are the highlights of Brazil you shouldn’t miss!

Visit the Chapada Diamantina National Park

While Brazil’s coastline is worth seeing anytime, inland landscapes like Chapada Diamantina Park shouldn’t be missed. Located east of Salvador, the park features several waterfalls, hikes, and caves- some caves have bluish pools where you can swim.

You could join a tour to sights like Poco Azul, Morro Do Pai or Pratinha. You should visit Buracao Chapada Diamantina Waterfall if you have more than a day for the tour.

Immerse yourself in the culture by exploring Olinda

In northeast Brazil, Olinda is one of Latin America’s most attractive colonial regions. The old town of Olinda features small cafes, ocean viewpoints, cobblestone streets, ice cream shops, and well-preserved architecture from colonial times.

You don’t need two or more days to enjoy this old city. You can take a 7-hour tour to explore Olinda and the larger city of Recife, which neighbors it. You’ll learn about the African, Portuguese-Brazilian, and other roots of Brazil on the tour.

Hiking is uninteresting in Brazil? This hike will show you the opposite

Hiking isn’t usually a common activity to do in Brazil, but the Two Brothers Hike is one you should try. Also known as Morro Dios Irmãos, the hike is in Rio de Janeiro.

The Two Brothers Hike offers amazing views of the second-largest favela in the world, Rocinha Favela, from the Two Brothers Viewpoint. It’s advisable to take a cab up to the favela to start the hike; in 40 minutes, you’ll be at the viewpoint.

Take in the beauty of the grand Iguazu Falls

It’s highly unlikely to find a Brazil tour highlight without the mention of Iguazu Falls. The Iguazu Falls features 275 waterfalls stretched over 1.7 miles and surrounded by a green, dense forest. The fall is situated on the border with Argentina.

You could book a full-day tour to explore the waterfalls from both sides. However, for a full experience, you could take a flight or bus to Foz do Iguaçu, a town that gives you the best view of the Brazilian side of the falls.

Explore unique activities in Rio de Janeiro

With several attractions and parties, it’s not surprising that Rio de Janeiro is the most famous city in Brazil. You could take the cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain- the amazing views of the surrounding mountains might make it your best activity in the city.

There are also several beaches in Rio; we recommend the famous Copacabana Beach for an out-of-the-world experience featuring cocktails, coconuts, and a refreshing atmosphere. You could also visit Christ the Redeemer, one of the world’s 7 wonders- you could see monkeys if you hike.
