Supper by the Sea: For the Ultimate Dining Experience, Here Are the Best Restaurants on the Amalfi Coast

Since La Caravella bagged the first Michelin star in Amalfi in the 1960s, the area has become one of the best food spots in Italy. However, the food alone isn’t what makes these restaurants top-notch; the peaceful ambiance and beautiful scenery they offer are second to none. Choosing the best places on the Amalfi Coast can be quite a chore- and that’s where this article comes in. Here are five top choices.

Lo Scoglio

If you’re looking for a place that majors in fresh seafood and vegetables, Lo Scoglio is one of your surest bets. The fish and seafood served at this restaurant are freshly caught, while the veggies are from the De Simone family’s garden.

You won’t regret trying their famous spaghetti alle zucchini while you bask in the view of the sea. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with their aubergine and chocolate pudding (melanzane al cioccolato). Lo Scoglio is located at Piazza delle Sirene 15, Marina di Cantone.

A’ Paranza

This trattoria (informal, Italian-style restaurant) is the perfect place for a traditional meal without breaking your budget. The restaurant’s proximity to Tramonti means you can enjoy a glass of white wine after your filling meal.

Bar Bruno

If you believe family-run restaurants are always lousy, this restaurant will change your mind. Although you have to trek a bit to Bar Bruno, the bliss of enjoying amazing delicacies and a picturesque view on the narrow pavement terrace is more than a reward.

Mimì

This restaurant offers some of the best pizzas in the area, which speaks volumes, considering Italy’s pizza reputation. Aside from pizza, they also have other delicacies made with ingredients from the Mansi family’s kitchen garden.
